What is the name of your business?
My name is Nicola Settle, and the name of my business is More than Masks.
What kinds of products do you sell?
I sell face masks, lanyards, mask chains, and other hand- made goods!
What do you do with the proceeds?
I donate 50% of the profits to Grant Us Hope and I save the rest!
How long have you been running your business, and why did you start it?
I have been running it since March 2020. I wanted to use my time wisely in quarantine and I also wanted to help others during the pandemic.
On average, how much work do you put into your business?
I work at least 15 hours a week on my business.
What is the most unexpected, funny, or amazing thing that has come out of your business?
The most amazing thing to come from this experience has definitely been my ability to help Grant Us Hope. The funniest experience I have had was when fellow senior Sophia Dugan ordered two masks with her adorable dog on it. She insisted on one specific picture in which her dog's head looked like a "bike seat." The experience has also taught me so much about business, marketing, and customer service! I have been so lucky to have this experience in my life and I am so grateful to all of my customers and friends and family who have helped me so much!

My name is Layne Wagner, and the name of my business is Hullajewel.
What kinds of products do you sell?
I sell clay earrings, beaded jewelry, and paintings!
What do you do with the proceeds?
I save most of them, but I have a couple of products whose proceeds I donate. For example, 20% of the proceeds made from my BLM earrings go to a Black Lives Matter organization.
How long have you been running your business, and why did you start it?
I have been running it since the beginning of 2020. I love art!!!
On average, how much work do you put into your business?
I work around 8 hours a week.
What is the most unexpected, funny, or amazing thing that has come out of your business?
I have created art that I never thought I’d be able to make :)
