Senior Shout-Outs


After a memorable four years at SUA, our seniors leave a trail behind them of infinite memories, legacies to live up to, and special qualities that the classes below them will treasure forever. Here are certain seniors that the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors want to recognize for displaying these amazing attributes. We will miss every last member of the class of 2022 dearly. Good luck in your next chapter!!


Seniors we will miss:

  • Julia Raines: “she is a light in the community”

  • Elle Mader: “she is always super encouraging, uplifting, and super fun to be around!” ; “she is so sweet to me every time I see her in the hallways and around campus. I feel like I could fall back on her anytime I need to.” - Sarah Turner

  • Avery Stewart: “she has such an amazing sense of humor that I enjoyed being around every day”

  • Audrey Kirwin: “she is the best leader and person to drive with” - Elisa Yi ; “she was the first person who truly made me feel at home at Ursula” - Quincy MacCutcheon

  • Luci Hittle: “she was always such a positive presence in my day” - Lily Anderson; “because of all the fun we had in theatre together! Spider squad will live on!” - Kali Boeing

  • Emmy Edmonson and Fiona Mack: “they were both very nice to me, they've both made me laugh on numerous occasions, and they both made my first year of high school a better experience through being my friends.” - Ellamae Brodbeck

  • Noelle Shiffert: “because of how much time we spent together in APES and how close we have gotten” - Grace Wessel

  • Grace Milton: “there is never a dull moment with her. She always has the biggest smile and only radiates positive energy to everyone” - Lauren Stefanski ; “she is one of the most genuine people I have ever met and always says hi to me in the hallway” - Meredith Murray

  • Amanda Serger: “I love having my sister at school with me” - Alex Serger

  • Peyton Allen: “she has been one of my closest friends since she moved into my neighborhood 12 years ago. Going to both the Harry Styles concerts together and our parents forcing 'nights' on us every Sunday helped me gain a best friend that I will miss so much when she goes off to do incredible things at Michigan State. Video stars, imovie trailers, and submitting videos to audition for Kidz Bop are some of the core memories I will cherish forever. “ - Natalie Hubert

  • Caroline Schwartz: “she carries barnyard swim practices” - Sophie Pressler

  • Shelby Flynn: “she has always been a close family friend and I am going to miss seeing her face in the halls and our car rides to and from school.” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Madeline Hines: “she is so welcoming and easy going. She is someone I feel safe to talk to about anything and will miss her energy.” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Anna Geiger: “track and MacShack trips won't be the same without her” ; “our downtown adventurous, making fun of each other at practices, our side eyes towards each other around school, your funny and welcoming personality and your true sarcasm. Thank you for all the laughs, smiles and love you have brought to me just over one year Anna. I ❤ YOU!!” - Evie Webster

  • Audrey Casey: “I am going to miss chavie” - Addie R

  • Caroline Caudill: “she has always been such an amazing friend and inspiration to me.” - Audrey Leurck

  • Lily Bien: “she was my best sua tennis friend” - Emily Jennewein ; “I look up to her a lot and she is the most kind, genuine, and considerate person I know. You have such a beautiful way of making people feel special! Go Lily!” - Molly Eppstein

  • Ellie Hoffman: “she always has a smile on her face no matter what and is constantly lifting others up. She is such a great role model and I hope she has the best time in college! I LOVE YOU ELLIE!” - Ibby Fisher

  • Michaela Schulze: “she is my best friend and my running buddy and i wouldn't want to hang with anyone else everyday! more crumbl and condados after practice please” - Rachel Zeller

  • Libby Baker: “she always gave me the best advice and helped me get through freshman and sophomore year with a good time. she was always there for me if I needed something and I could always trust her.” - Addy Halsted

  • Sara Salem: “she is so sweet and a listening ear”

  • Avery Glynn: “she was always supportive and was a great person to talk to during cross country. Literally everyone's friend.” ; “she is so so nice and she helped me throughout the school year and listened to me when i needed someone to talk to.” - Maria Houchens

  • Shelby Flynn: “she introduced and helped me during field hockey season” - Elisa Yi ; “she is always so kind to me and cares for everyone around her. I am thankful for her showing me how to be a leader.” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Luci Hittle: “she supported me and believed in me even when I was extremely stressed out.” - Lily Anderson; “they always cheer me up with their happy demeanor, and they're one of the kindest people I've met here at SUA so far.” - Ellamae Brodbeck

  • Mary O’Connor: “she has been such a positive and uplifting friend and ray of sunshine” - Grace Wessel ; “she is the sweetest human being ever” - Quincy MacCutcheon

  • Emmy Edmonson: “she was always there for me” - Alex Serger

  • Leah Paul: “because of her commitment sending out a poll to our friends everyday with fun questions that brightens my day. She is one of the most supportive people I know and is always there cheering for me in the infield of the track. I was always thankful to have a girl my age at our family parties and I would have never imagined that one very awkward Hawaii vacation would turn into us going on family vacations together, my favorite trips ever!” - Natalie Hubert

  • Courtney Ruesink: “I had so much fun on the service trip getting to know her and all the other people” - Madeline Bruns

  • Grace Milton: “she always makes everyone around her feel loved”

  • Meghan Donovan: “she stuck by me even after other members of our crew left.” - Kali Boeing

  • Avery Reid: “she helps me with math anytime I ask. I have gotten much better grades on my math tests because of her.” - Sarah Turner

  • Madeline Hines: “she has always been a close family friend and was one of the first people to welcome me into SUA.” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Anna Geiger: “she made xc tolerable <3” - Mary Wurzbacher

  • Caroline McKeown: “she was like an older sister to me and treated me like she'd known me for years, even though I met her in August.” - Addie R

  • Emma Voelkerding: “because of her undeniably kind personality and selflessness” - Audrey Leurck

  • Lily Bien: “she drove me to sua tennis practices and matches.” - Emily Jennewein

  • Abby Fermann: “she made me feel important and valued. She is the most fun person to be around and she is constantly making others feel like they matter and I think that that is such a wonderful thing. THANK YOU ABBY WE LOVE YOU!” - Ibby Fisher ; “she always brings me so much joy hyping me up at school, practice and meets. You always make sure everyone feels loved, welcomed and valued. I love listening to your music blasting you seeing your wonderful personality and smile. Thank you for making me feel so loved Abby. Love you always!!” - Evie Webster

  • Anna Iccabuci, Holland Howe, and Molly Ragland: “they were so kind to me freshman year and really made me realize the beauty of SUA” - Hailey Heidrich

  • Ella Shepard: “she drove my friends and I to school and we became very close and I am very grateful for the relationship we made” - Addy Halsted

Seniors that were great leaders:

  • Lily Coughlin: “ she’s a great listener and is super kind”

  • Maggie/Marge Braun: “she always includes everyone and treats everyone amazingly” ; “she helped me last year with my cross country questions and she is so so nice” - Maria Houchens ; “she took me under my wing my freshman year and has been one of my closest friends since then. Her leadership during the track and cross country season has given me a role model to follow and someone I will always look up to. I have never overlooked her optimism as it is something that always makes a bad day I may be having into a good one.“ - Natalie Hubert ; “she is such a great role model and such a great friend to everyone she meets. Everyone I know looks up to her and admires her for her dedication and commitment. Love you Marge!” - Ibby Fisher

  • Audrey Kirwin: “she showed how to be involved with the school and relating with every student” - Elisa Yi

  • Luci Hittle: “she always brought so much infectious energy to the stage and rallied everyone else with her”

  • Mac Reilly and Courtney Leow: “they guided and nurtured us on our Kairos experience with open arms” - Grace Wessel

  • Shelby Flynn: “she was so involved and cared for everyone around her. She is always so approachable and easy to talk to.”

  • Grace Milton: “she always takes initiative in all situations and is always kind to others” - Meredith Murray

  • Danielle Schneider: “they would always be there to help and stand up for one another.” - Kali Boeing

  • Avery Glynn: “she helped me on my first year being on student council. She helped me complete my tasks when I was new to a committee.” - Sarah Turner

  • Madeline Hines: “she was not afraid to be loud and knew how important the school spirit is here. She knows when leadership is needed and takes initiative.” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Caroline Schulte: “she is so kind and encouraging”

  • Anna Geiger: “she was the best track captain” - Mary Wurzbacher

  • Rosemary Sammarco: “she always showed me how to have a good time” - Addie R

  • Caroline Caudill: “she stepped up as an informal captain for our rowing team this season.” - Audrey Leurck

  • Lily Bien: “she always had a positive team spirit” - Emily Jennewein

  • Libby Baker: “she is never afraid to help anyone out and would never get frustrated and is overall a great role model to underclassmen at SUA”

  • Ellie Hoffman: “her bright and caring personality. Her smile is so contagious and she never fails to make me happy. You are never afraid to show your true self and I admire and greatly look up to that. You are such a loving person and I can't imagine school and practice without you. Thank you for everything Ellie!! ” - Evie Webster

  • Skylar Stimson: “driving home from cross country practice and talking about life” - Belle

  • Shelby Flynn: “when we did an intermixed scrimmage during the field hockey season with varsity” - Elisa Yi

  • Luci Hittle: “when we had our iconic Wayne and Cedric scenes from Puffs and I repeatedly missed the stuffed birds. She and I always had a great time on stage and I'm going to miss that when she's gone” - Lily Anderson

  • Jo Ruther: “when we had an entire discussion about fruit (specifically kumquats), kombucha, and the peach truck during guitar class” - Ellamae Brodbeck

  • Mia Meinhardt: “crying at West Clermont” - Anna Mussman

  • Audrey Kirwin: “Kairos and going to the gym together” - Grace Wessel

  • Ellie Burns: “after a friday morning cross country practice, we went to get dunkin and ellie walked into dunkin in her elf t-shirt and the freshman we were with didn't have her shoe on. we pulled into school at 7:58 and we all sprinted to our classes ellie walked into school with her elf t-shirt on but we all made it in time for the bell” - Maria Houchens

  • Avery Reid: “doing our signature dance” - Alex Serger

  • Ellie Hoffman: “when we would sit in the back of Olivia Bowden's car as she drove us to school and just laugh as Olivia played Misery by Maroon 5 and Allergic by Post Malone for the 6th time that car ride. Olivia's driving turned into you driving Chloe and me. I will never forget the (bad) memory of Craig. May he live on. Bob Marley forever!” - Natalie Hubert

  • Emily Domingo: “our last night ice cream runs” - Sophie Pressler

  • Laura Fitzpatrick: “getting to school early to work on the palooza video, listening to 9-5” - Madeline Bruns

  • Courtney Ruesink: “when we messed around in the back of Libby's car on the way to Ihop at like 11 at night, singing 'Before He Cheats' by Carrie Underwood.” - Julia Biernat

  • Bryn Connelly: “when we played mafia in the east lobby and I was constantly accused of being the murderer (WHEN I IN FACT WAS NOT!!!!)” - Julia Biernat

  • Shelby Flynn: “our car rides to school, we know how to make each other laugh and make easy conversation. During our rides this is when we bonded and became the closest.” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Grace Milton: “going to Wendy's and being partners with her in contemporary issues in women's health” - Meredith Murray

  • Lauren McConnell: “when we would have the most random talks during lunch.” - Kali Boeing

  • Greta Felton: “when she drove me to the volleyball game at Lakota West.” - Sarah Turner

  • Madeline Hines: “riding to school with her and her mom as she was getting ready for graduation practice. She was straightening her hair in the car and putting her makeup on. It made me laugh because I was in the back just watching her get ready as we were driving into school in the morning.” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Caroline Caudill: “rowing in freezing rain in April” - Quincy MacCutcheon

  • Anna Geiger: “Ouija boards at the train tracks and Chipotle afterwards” - Mary Wurzbacher ; “riding in the back of Bird's truck during cross country camp to get to the lake! (and also just being at the lake and watching that weird guy do pull-ups)” - Ibby Fisher

  • Anelise Bronstrop: “the opps” - Addie R

  • Caroline Caudill and Emma Voelkerding: when we all shared a room at our Dogwood regatta. I loved being able to confide in these women and know that I could always trust them with anything.” - Audrey Leurck

  • Lily Bien: “when we went to Rooted before a match.” - Emily Jennewein

  • Libby Baker: “when she came over to my house and made a tik tok with me and we magically became friends after that” - Addy Halsted

Moments we will never forget with our seniors:

  • Ellen Scott: “painted herself in all gold for dawg day”

  • Luci Hittle: “when Luci came out for the first time in her full Voldy makeup during Puffs”

  • Mia Meinhardt: “drove on the wrong side of the road” - Anna Mussman

  • Caroline Schwartz: “she spilled her whole cup of fruit punch from Penn Station and attracted ants in the APES room.” - Grace Wessel

  • Ellie Burns, Ainsley Cahill, Rylie Postel, Avery Glynn and Ella Bolinger: “were jumping out of the car dancing people one morning the monday after spring break” - Maria Houchens

  • Fiona Mack: “I will never forget when Fiona and I became friends” - Alex Serger

  • Brooke Hunstad: “when she drove Beazey, Margo, Sophia, Gigi, Rachel, and me to Dairy Queen at 10:00 pm the night before the Trinity meet. Going 70 in a 35 trying to make it before it was closed blaring the strangest music just to get there and realize it was closed. I don't think I have ever been so happy to be in a place but so scared for my life at the same time.” - Natalie Hubert

  • Shelby Flynn: “she was driving on Columbia and the traffic was horrible and we were trying to get over into another lane and she starts "talking" to Ainsley O'Toole asking if she can get over. Ainsley of course was not paying attention nor could she hear her and we were left having to get in right at the light.” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Grace Milton: “when Grace came into class saying she had already drank 2 energy drinks and coffees because she had been up late from work and had to work again that same night” - Meredith Murray

  • Emma Thomas: “she had to yell at a teacher to get out of the light booth during a show” - Kali Boeing

  • Madeline Hines: “she sent a text at 7:30 saying, "You might want to find a different ride to school, I cannot find my keys." It made me laugh out loud because it was a crazy morning in the first place and I had woken up late and then that happened. I LOVE YOU MADELINE AND I AM GOING TO MISS YOU NEXT YEAR!!” - Lucy Schwendeman

  • Noelle Shiffert: “took our gym class boxing” - Quincy MacCutcheon

  • Anna Geiger: “when Anna threw up after the 200 time trial” - Mary Wurzbacher

  • Caroline Mckeown: “she left me after school and forgot to take me home so I had to get a ride with Courtney” - Addie R

  • Emma Voelkerding: “when she would drive Zoey Jacobs, Callie Vonderharr, and I to practice, while we would jam out to our novice year "song of the day" playlist!” - Audrey Leurck

  • Lily Bien: “had an allergic reaction and we had to rush to UDF to buy Benadryl.” - Emily Jennewein

  • Brooke Hunstad: “raced another senior back to SUA after xc practice. i was a little bit scared for my life but it was so fun.” - Ibby Fisher

  • Audrey Kirwin: “when she came up to me on my shadow day and asked if I was Will Halsted’s sister. I love you Audrey” - Addy Halsted
