At SUA there are many clubs, ranging from cooking to sports. There is something for everyone who wants to get involved. One of the newer student-run groups this year is the Creative Writing Club. To get to know the club and what it stands for, I interviewed the moderator, Ms. Cappel, the student leaders, Rowan Fox '25 and Dana Zimmer '24, and members Ava Meiners '24b, Kate Corsig ' 23, Bella Battle '24.
Q: Did you think a lot of people would join this club
Ms. Cappel: No, my first year there were no members and the interest in doing lit related things outside of class is very low.
Q: What inspired you to form this club?
Ms. Cappel: I really love creating opportunities to write in a way that isn't super structured and often writers are quiet people so bringing them together in a space like this is helpful.

Q: What inspired you to run for this position?
Dana and Rowan: It was a challenge I wanted to try. I wanted to meet new people.
Q: What is your favorite style of writing?
Dana and Rowan: Creative writing!
Q: What is the most challenging part of leading this club?
Dana and Rowan: Incorporating everyone's different opinions and interests into one meeting.

Q: What is your favorite part of this club?
Ava: I like socializing with the club members because they are all friendly and funny. I also enjoy doing the activities because they help explore my imagination.
Q: What inspired you to join this club?
Kate: My friends inspired me to join this club.
Bella: Something to do and I wanted to try something new.
In conclusion, the creative writing club is an excellent opportunity to write in a fun way and meet new people!
