Best & Worst Christmas Movies
Let’s face it. Christmas time is almost upon us, and one of the many things Americans love about the holidays is watching some funny, yet heartwarming Christmas movies. To decide on a definitive ranking of the best and worst movies to watch this season, I took a school poll by asking “What is your favorite Christmas movie out of the options that are provided?” Students could vote on either the 10 popular movies that I had listed or an “other” option that allowed them to write a different movie. Based on the 415 responses that I received, these are the best Christmas movies:
Elf (126 votes)
Home Alone (69 votes)
National Lampoon’s A Christmas Vacation (58 votes)
The Polar Express (55 votes)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (46 votes)
A Christmas Story (16 votes)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (16 votes)
It’s A Wonderful Life (13 votes)
A Miracle on 34th Street (3 votes)
White Christmas (3 votes)
A Christmas Carol (2 votes)
Fred Claus (2 votes)
The Year Without a Santa Claus (1 vote)
Santa Claus (1 vote)
Santa Claus 2 (1 vote)
Shrek the Halls (1 vote)
Prep & Landing (1 vote)
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1 vote)
